For this project i have too create a 2D maze game in Unity. As inspiration i will look at a few games that Featured mazes or were built around the maze concept.
In my search for inspiration I’ve come across a game called Kuru Myst.
The game seems to have a unique mechanic where the player can change shape by using the WASD keys which is quite unique and i like that idea.

The image below is the initial design for the maze game I’m currently working on.

The general theme of the game has to be around the word revolution, so i decided to go for a riot theme. The player will be an aluminium baseball bat, the squares will be policemen with riot shields, the triangles will be policemen with stun guns, the rhombus will be items( like kerosene and cloth) that the player has to acquire and they will be used to craft a flaming bat in that will be used to take down the barrier ( represented by the hexagons around the star) in order to reach the end of the level. The last geometric shape is the irregular octagon which will be a lighter that the player has to acquire in order to craft the flaming bat. You might ask as to why would you set a aluminium baseball bat on fire, well think about this scenario, which one would be more intimidating, a guy with a normal aluminium bat or a guy with a aluminium bat on fire, that’s the logic behind the aluminium bat on fire, i know it’s unnecessary but it sounds cool.
This is the aluminium bat referance for the player mode (rectangle shape).
This is the stun gun referance for the triangle policemen.
This is the riot shield referance for the square policemen.
