“Howdy Pard’ners!” they told me.
Creating a barrel might seem like a simple taks until you get int it and want to make it as realistic as possible. So in order to create a realistic as possible barrel I needed a referance.

The first step to creating a barrel is creating a cilinder.
After that I reshaped the object and added edge loops with the insert edge loop tool to add more complexity to my object and begin modeling and shaping it to look more like a barrel.

After that what I needed to do is create a UV smapshot by opening the UV Snapshot.
Once the UV Snapshot is open I saved the image on the Desktop for easy access.

This is what the image looks like

After that i had to insert the image in Photoshop and color the background black.

Here is my texture finished in Photoshop.

And here is my texture on my 3D model that i made in college

This is one of the models that i made in my free time before I attended my games design course.

Modeling Critique (College Model)
How do you rate the colour/textures?
I would rate the textures a 6.7/10
Was it easy/hard to model?
It was a basic cylinde with edge loops added to it and reshaped, so it was easy to make.
What is your favourite part of creating the model?
Eh….
What kind of game would it be suitable for ?
Definitely a 2006 game.
How do you rate the model overall?
A Gentleman’s 6.7 out of 10.
Modeling Critique (Spare Time)
How do you rate the colour/textures?
I would rate the textures a 8/10
Was it easy/hard to model?
It was slightly harder to make because I made the plank and the metal strap around the barrel.
What is your favourite part of creating the model?
Making the plank because i had to play with the nonlinear bend tool, also putting all of the different pieces together.
What kind of game would it be suitable for ?
I would say it belongs in a 2014/ 2015 game.
The model is up to the standards in terms of 3D model detail , but the textures may need some more work.
How do you rate the model overall?
A Gentleman’s 8 out of 10.
