Safe

The first thing i did was create a cube and scale it to look like a safe, after that i added some edge loops on the sides of the object, took one of the side faces and extruded it inwards.

Next i created the door to the safe.

After that i added door hinges to the safe.

Modeling Critique

How do you rate the colour/textures?

I still need to work on texturing models. The texture is somewhat decent for now. I didn’t feel like putting in the work to fix the texture on the handle and hinges of the safe.

In the future when i will need a safe model i will most definitely use this model, with slight changes on the textures.

Was it easy/hard to model?

It was fairly easy to make, no major difficulties. I didn’t learn any new techniques, however i did learn how to use the Insert Edge Loop tool more efficiently

What is your favourite part of creating the model?

The model was fairly easy to make, it was fun to make but it wasn’t as rewarding as a complex model when looking at the finished product as the creator.

What kind of game would it be suitable for ?

Maybe a low budget game with some texture remapping. The model would be suitable for a western game or it could be used somewhere behind a painting.

How do you rate the model overall?

Its a good model, definitely more usable if the textures looked up to the standards of modern games.
